THE PROCONEX PROMISE

One number, from the first call to the last screw.

We visit your property, we look at the layout and the access. That's when we see what's possible and what isn't — before you commit to anything.

Consultation

The steps are set out and the detailed quote is written. You know what's included, in what order it happens, and who handles what.

Planning

Everything is prefabricated under cover, in our workshop. The lumber never sits in the rain on an open site: it's cut, assembled and sealed in the dry.

Fabrication

Excavation, grading and concrete slab if needed. Same crew, same phone number: you don't have to coordinate an excavator on your side.

Site preparation

The structure is hauled in and installed where you want it. We leave when it's standing, plumb and closed in.

CONCRETE SLABS

We do the base too.

No subcontractor to coordinate: the slab is poured by the same crew that delivers the structure.

See the slab service
01 Layout Staking out the slab, checking levels and locating underground utilities.
02 Excavation We strip the topsoil and dig down to bearing soil, below the frost line.
03 Granular base 0 ¾ stone spread and compacted in layers, geotextile membrane where needed.
04 Formwork Forms set plumb and square, to the exact dimensions of the building.
05 Reinforcement Steel mesh tied and raised on chairs, bars around the perimeter.
06 Pour and finish Concrete poured, screeded, floated, then finished with a power trowel.
07 Curing and form removal Concrete curing, forms stripped and backfill around the perimeter.

In the workshop, step by step.

MATERIALS AND QUALITY

Built for Québec winters.

Snow, winds off the river and freeze-thaw cycles are unforgiving. That’s why everything is prefabricated under cover in our workshop before it reaches your site.

What goes into every structure
01
Prefabricated under cover The wood is assembled in the workshop, never left out in the rain on an open site. The structure arrives closed in.
02
Framing designed for snow Truss spacing and roof pitch are calculated for Bas-Saint-Laurent loads, not for an average climate.
03
Air barrier and sealing Air barrier membrane installed and sealed at the openings. That's what keeps moisture from settling into the walls.
04
Anchoring and slab A poorly anchored structure moves at the first freeze cycle. The slab is poured by our own crew, with the right granular base.

We had a sloped lot and tight access. They found a way to do it without selling us bigger than we needed.
